Ace is happiest when there are toys and lots of them. His favorite is to fetch and catch the tennis ball. Ace also enjoys anything that can be flung no matter what the size. :) He will enjoy an active home. Originally, Ace was not a fan of the crate but is now learning to accept it better. He did not like the enclosed feeling of the plastic crate so he is now in a large wire one which he tolerates better. Getting his meals in there and having chew treats at other times have made the crate a better experience for him. Ace's adoption fee is $200.00 ACE UPDATE: It has become very apparent that Ace is a man's man. He is drawn to men even those he has never met before. His love of the outdoors could make him the perfect companion for the right person. Ace has been doing well in the home. He is now quiet and content in his crate except for just after I leave. He is also working obedience skills. One of Aces new favorite activities is laying in watch for two neighbor cats. Tennis ball is another favorite as is shadowing his human. Let us know if you would like to meet this happy guy. Update 11-23: Handsome Ace is great with other dogs and is fine with cats. He is all Beagle. obsessed with FOOD and he BARKS!!! Although annoying to some but. Beagle people find it endearing. Ace is a highly adoptable dog and overall is quite a nice dog . Aces downfall is that he is a resource guarder and will guard food and toysand from dogs and people. This limits him to a home without kids under 16. His perfect home would be a home with adults, other dogs or cats would be fine. His new owner will need to understand that they would need to keep the garbage put away in a closet of cabinet and not leave food out unattended If Ace were to get something you don't want him to have, you will need to trade him food for whatever he has. Just going up and taking things from him will set him up for a bite. Someone that is fairly active and would enjoy playing fetch with him every day.
